Sanjay Roy, the main suspect in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, claimed in a polygraph test that he found the victim already dead and fled in fear. However, the test revealed several inconsistencies, with Roy providing false and unconvincing answers.
Initially, Roy confessed to the crime, but he later retracted his statement, insisting he was being framed. Despite his claims, CCTV footage, the discovery of his Bluetooth headset at the crime scene, and unexplained injuries on his face contradict his story. A psychological profile also indicated Roy had perverse tendencies and a severe addiction to pornography.
The investigation continues as authorities remain skeptical of his innocence.
