Apple is talking with Indian companies to buy important parts for iPhone cameras.
According to a report by The Economic Times, Apple wants to move some of its manufacturing from China to India. They’re discussing with Murugappa Group and Titan, big Indian companies, about getting camera parts for iPhones.
Murugappa Group might be the favorite because they bought Moshine Electronics in 2022. This could help them make camera parts in the future. Titan is also being considered, but Murugappa Group seems to have an advantage because they work in more industries.
This move is part of Apple’s plan to make more iPhone parts in India. By doing this, they can solve some problems in their Indian operations and help build more factories in India.
This shows how important India is becoming for big tech companies like Apple. If this works out, it could help India’s factories grow and make Apple’s position stronger in India’s growing smartphone market.
