Elon Musk announced that the advanced Grok AI chatbot will be accessible to X users starting next week, promising it will surpass existing AI technologies in every aspect.
On Friday, Elon Musk disclosed that xAI, his AI venture, will release the updated Grok-1.5 chatbot on the social media platform X. Starting next week, X users will have access to this advanced version of the Grok AI chatbot, which Musk claims will outperform existing AI technologies across all metrics. This move is part of xAI’s strategy to rival other generative AI chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard.
Musk shared on X, “Should be available on 𝕏 next week. Grok 2 is expected to surpass all current AI technologies in every metric. It’s currently in training.”
The AI company announced, “We are excited to introduce Grok-1.5, our newest model designed for deep context comprehension and sophisticated reasoning. Grok-1.5 will soon be accessible to our early testers and current Grok users on the 𝕏 platform within the next few days.”
How Will the Grok-1.5 AI Chatbot Reshape Social Media?
The integration of artificial intelligence chatbots like Grok-1.5 on social media platforms is set to transform them into more than mere channels of communication. With Grok-1.5, users on X will be endowed with generative AI capabilities, simplifying content creation and information retrieval.
Instead of relying on external web searches for information verification, X users can now directly interact with the platform to resolve their inquiries. Grok 1.5 offers two distinct modes: Regular and Fun. While Regular mode delivers precise, well-articulated responses, Fun mode presents information with a hint of sarcasm and wit, adding an engaging twist to data consumption.
Currently, access to Grok is exclusive to premium subscribers of X, indicating that users must subscribe to the service to benefit from the AI chatbot’s features.
Under Elon Musk’s leadership, xAI is positioning itself to rival prominent LLM AI models such as ChatGPT, Bard, and Copilot. This strategic move follows Musk’s criticism of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, accusing him of deviating from OpenAI’s foundational mission towards a profit-oriented approach.
