Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO, expressed amazement at India’s rapidly growing developer community and highlighted AI’s transformative potential in healthcare and education. He underscored innovations with the Copilot AI assistant and announced the expansion of the ‘code without barriers’ program in India, aiming to support 75,000 women developers by 2024.
“India is a place where momentum around developers, development is unbelievable,” he said.
The CEO of Microsoft also discussed driving productivity across businesses with Microsoft Copilot and developing transformative AI solutions through Microsoft Azure, alongside emphasizing the importance of AI safety.
Nadella expressed anticipation for the emergence of innovative startups in India, highlighting the country’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape.
He highlighted projections indicating that India is poised to surpass the US as the largest developer community on GitHub by 2027. Nadella emphasized India’s rising prominence in the global developer community, noting its trajectory to become the foremost hub for developers in the near future.
